My sweet boy spent Valentine's home sick. His precious dog sat next to him or on him the entire day. It was very, very sweet.

I'm so sad that Costco has sold out to foreign pineapples. Being a native Hawaiian, it makes my heart heavy that so much of what Hawaii is known for is slowly being eroded away... gone are the large industries of pineapple and sugar cane. Foreign labor is cheaper. By the way... this pineapple didn't taste nearly as good as the Hawaiian ones.

Made some yummy bran muffins this morning. I know the terms "yummy" and "bran muffins" aren't typically used synonymously. However, I can assure you that these were quite scrumptious. I added chocolate chips in place of raisins and the kids are begging me to make another batch tomorrow!

Being sick means three days of dishes piled up in the sink. I LOVE having a whole set of sparkling clean glasses! I finally felt well enough to tackle the utter disgust in the kitchen and it felt good. Here are those sparkling glasses...

Here is the mug that I got from the Harry Potter Exhibit last night. They had several mugs there to choose from and of course this was the most expensive at $14.99. But I bought it anyway and thus far I LOVE it. It has a secret Marauder's Map on it but it doesn't show up until you put hot liquid into the cup! Sorry the pictures are proportional!
