Redondo Beach was looking mighty fine today. Hard to believe that the tide gets so high the water reaches the bottom of the pier! We went to the MaST Aquarium there today and had a lot of fun!

Pedicure time! It's been forever since I've indulged, but I really didn't feel as though I had a choice anymore. Since the weather has warmed some, I've been wearing my Scott slippers all over the place, despite the immense embarrassment I've had over the state of my poor feet. This was definitely overdue. It was an indulgence, but one for which I have zero guilt! I hope to make this a monthly experience as long as the weather permits me to go open-toed!

Fun in the sun

I stopped and got a pedicure before meeting up with friends in Tacoma for fun at Hello, Cupcake, a wonderful cupcake shop downtown. My only regret is that I didn't snap a shot of the people that were there! Oh well... so much fun!

Got to go to school for a conference for my son. Boy did he make me proud! He's grown and improved SO much over the past school year and I couldn't be happier! This is him, playing teacher with the pointer stick.

I know this is a strange picture. No, the baby is not real... I would never consider putting a real baby in a cardboard box! This is a dummy baby that is used in the hospital to practice on. She sits atop a cupboard in the nursery and each time I walk past her, I jump because out of the corner of my eye I spy her and my first gut reaction is always (thought to myself of course), "Why is there a baby up there!?" And then a nanosecond later I realize it's just our little dummy baby! From the corner of your eye, she looks pretty real. She seemed like she wanted her picture taken. (And afterward, I laid her down into the box and closed the lid... no more scaring me each time I walk by!)
